Letter From Our President
Dear Destin Area Snowbirds,
If you are like me, you are getting your thinking going about warmer winter weather and the snowy sand instead of that other white stuff you have to shovel. The summer season in the North is great, but, the winter season in Snowbird country can be very enjoyable.
The Destin Snowbird Club, is a very good place to find some of that enjoyment. We have weekly meetings, which provide entertainment and door prizes. Some of these prizes are really great.
There are also may activities other than the weekly meetings. Some of which are:
Golf Tournaments at some of the best golf courses.
Card playing
Dinner Parties and Dances
A fashion show
Parades
Craft Show where you can display you specialty or buy someone else’s
There is blood pressure testing so you can keep up with your health
The chance to sign up for some fun classes at the college
These are some of the ways that you can find that enjoyment and of course meet new people. And there are a lot of new people to meet at the weekly meetings. Some of them might even become good friends.
So, we invite you to join with us in making your snowbird stay a happy and enjoyable one. If you are one of those that has a special talent for adding to our list of things to do and would like to head that area, we would be glad to consider adding it.
